Traditionally, the seaman has always looked to the birds, nature’s fish finder. BRINY relies on the Frigate bird, so we’ve given him a place on the front of our proprietary CloakCamo shirts.
This high baller of a bird is incredibly fast and skillful in the air. Spot him maneuvering effortlessly, gliding over the water, or diving in to catch some tail.
It’s Life Or Death
There’s nothing like a good show. And Simon hoped to capture the sea creatures in their natural feeding frenzy in a dynamic illustration for the new BRINY hooded fishing shirts.
"A flying fish darting away desperately from the yellowfin tuna.
Tunas fighting for a meal.
The acrobatic moves of the frigate bird."

White Marlin:
- One of the Kings of offshore fishing

- Their long, sword-like upper jaw makes them one of the most recognizable fish. Also, they’ll slash through fish without a second thought
Microtech UPF +50 fabric
As an avid angler, BRINY has kept to the elements prolonged the hours of bliss on the water, and kept any discomfort at bay. The key to a seaman’s performance and hooded performance fishing shirts is UPF +50 fabric and comfort.
The Microtech fabric that we developed is lightweight, durable, and comfortable. No one considers the fit of a hooded fishing shirt crucial until it's uncomfortable. Your body should be free to sway with your catch. Keep it off the boat if you ever find yourself tangled in wet gear. The BRINY Hooded fishing shirt is designed for long hours of exposure to the sun during an all-day offshore fishing expedition.
Color Selection
Once the design is approved, our team moves on to adding color, adding some soothing marine colors to the mix. Our choice of lighter color allows the least amount of solar absorption. In this case, the ice-blue makes the warm greys pop.
