A white cotton long sleeve shirt has about a UPF of 4, however our U.V SeaGuard custom performance fishing shirts have a UPF of 50+ rating, meaning that only 1/50th, or less than 2%, of UV rays can penetrate through the fabric to reach the skin, which in other words means it blocks out about 98% of the suns radiation.

Polyester versus Cotton Cooling Features:
All our SeaGuard™ custom fishings jerseys are made from highly breathable ocean engineered material with the perfect balance of comfort, cooling and protective properties; a shield for whatever the ocean throws at you.
Our premium polyester knit is designed for hot climates and features ultra comfort due to its moisture wicking lightweight poly-tech fabric. Moisture wicking fabrics are modern technical fabrics which draw moisture away from the body. They are made of high-tech polyester, which, unlike cotton, absorbs very little water. Cotton will absorb 7% of its weight in water, polyester only 0.4%. This creates a shirt that has 46 times the UPF rating of a cotton shirt and many times its cooling factors.
Our custom performance fishing jerseys and custom boat shirts also feature an antimicrobial and stain resistance coating. This coating minimize the effects of harmful bacteria reaching your skin and the tight polyester knit allows for stain resistance giving your custom fishing shirt a comfortable yet durable longevity.

About Spot Dye Sublimation
SPOT | DYE SUBLIMATION FOR CUSTOM FISHING JERSEYS
Both spot dye sublimation and full dye sublimation cut & sew products use the same print type "Dye Sublimation", however they differ in this way. The spot dye sublimation process prints onto already made color shirts. This reduces the cost while still delivering a premium product, but there are limitations. The graphics must be printed on specific areas of the existing garment, like: chest and back. Because spot sublimation prints over the existing shirt color and printers do not print “white ink”, unlike full dye sublimation which can print any colored shirt and graphic, spot dye sublimation looks best when printed onto light colored shirts. Light colors cannot be printed onto a pre made dark garment, so for this reason only light colored custom fishing shirts are offered for spot sublimation

About Full Dye Sublimation
FULL | DYE SUBLIMATION CUT & SEW FOR CUSTOM FISHING JERSEYS
The difference between full dye sublimation cut & sew and spot dye sublimation is that full dye sublimation first prints the graphics and the shirt color at the same time directly onto premium white U.V fabric before the shirt is made. Then the fabric is expertly cut and sewn into a final retail quality performance fishing shirt. This allows for virtually any color shirt to be produced, including graphic placement anywhere on the garment (See below image).
Dye sublimation printers do not print white ink, but because this “from scratch” process prints the graphics and any shirt color directly onto white fabric, this allows us to print any color graphics you wish because the computer can use the white of the fabric in replacement of white ink! The result is a retail quality shirt.

STAGE ONE | EXPLORE
Explore Stage: Our custom fishing shirt and custom fishing jerseys form gives our design department the preliminary info we need in order to understand your unique vision and needs. We may call or email you to explore the details with you in order to get a game plan for your project. We may also offer artistic suggestions at this stage.
STAGE TWO | DEFINE
Define Stage: After the custom fishing Jersey quote is approved we define the art with a sketch or rough composition. This gives you a visual as to what the concept of the artwork is and a general placement of each element on the fishing shirt. For example, boat in the center, sailfish to the right etc.
STAGE THREE | DESIGN
Design Stage: after the approval of the sketch, we go into the artist creation of the actual artwork. For graphics we define the graphic lines and for illustrative artwork we go through a detailed sketching then digital painting process based off the approved composition from the previous stage. We can create anything you like from fish graphics, boat name logos, boat wraps, fish logos, anything!
STAGE FOUR | REFINE
Refine: Working closely with you, we refine the details of the artwork and provide a realistic looking mockup of how the artwork looks on our custom performance fishing shirt or custom fishing jersey and get your sign-off to print the shirts. Then we work on getting the artwork print ready.
It is important to note: If you do have your own artwork, it needs to be provided in a high enough resolution and quality to allow for a clear detailed sublimation print. Vector artwork is ideal for graphics (Learn about vector artwork here). If you send your existing artwork through our custom fishing shirt form here, our in-house art department can evaluate it for free! We often have to recreate existing artwork if if the original files provided are not high enough resolution for custom fishing shirt sublimation printing. This may have an additional one time fee depending on the complexity of the artwork you provide, but you will have truely professional artwork forever. We can work with you on this free evaluation.
Each of your custom fishing jerseys are expertly laid out in a very specific digital file, then transferred and fused with the garment using an advanced dye sublimation process. So the print becomes one with the fabric which will never crack or fade.
LEARN ABOUT HOW IT IS MADE
From design to print, to packaging to a smile on your face!
If your shirts are fully dye sublimated and cut and sew then the process works like this. First the fish graphic prints a dye directly onto a special release paper. Once the print is on the paper it can then be transferred to the custom performance fabric by heating the solid to a gas to transfer the particles directly to the fabric, then turning them back into a solid without them ever being a liquid.
The process literally fuzes the print and our premium performance material together, creating a durable feature rich product that will never fade or wash away.
Then, each of the 5 pieces of the performance shirt are cut out perfectly by our skilled tailors and dexterously sewn into your final premium custom fishing shirt or boat shirt.
